RentLingo Editor's Review
We sent a former property manager to investigate

Vista Del Valle is a breath of fresh air amongst a sea of way below par residential complexes in the immediate area. Although it is somewhat outdated and lacking in modernity, the staff is extremely personable and helpful while the manicured grounds are very well tended to. Units are spacious and clean. Pros include: Units are roomy with fresh carpeting, nice linoleum tile and plenty of space. The grounds are well taken care of with lots of greenery. Balconies/patios are in good condition. Pool usage is available year round. On the down side, appliances are outdated. No washer/dryers in unit (although there are very clean, air conditioned laundry facilities on premises). No microwave in units. Community area and gym are lacking in modern features and are on the small side. Tips: Residents who pay rent by 1st of month enter into a drawing where prize is $50 off following month's rent. Some 2nd floor balconies offer great views of Las Vegas strip skyline. Watch out: Some areas of complex can experience mild rumblings from the nearby strip.

“Management Is Unprofessional and Treat Tenants Like Crap”

People Stay Away From Vista Del Valle! The management is unprofessional. They are very nice when they see you walking through the door. But once you sign that lease, their niceness walks right out of that same door. Property managers Eric, Natalie and Regional Manager, Amy Hjerpe are rude, cocky, and arrogant. They cannot display not one ounce of decent customer service. Instead, if you inform them about a legitmate issue, they will lable you as a troublemaker. Then when Corporate gets involved, they will cover each others asses with made up lies.

The only thing that they care about is rent. Other than that you are a nobody.

When I first moved in my apartment. They placed me beside a loud, busy road. I immediately asked Property Manager Eric to move me to another unit. Eric yelled and said,

"What do you want me to do? Pick up the building and move it." He then composed himself and promised to move me to a different unit. He even said that I did not have to pay the $200 transfer fees. One year later, and many reminders to Eric, I am still at the same apartment and now Eric has amnesia. He keeps telling Corporate that he cannot recall. HELLO, I am a big, ugly, black man. How can you not recall talking to me?

I brought these concerns to Regional Manager Amy Hjerpe and she said that if I do not like it then I can move. She even knew when my lease was up, and enthusiastically encouraged me to leave. I ONLY renewed my lease because it is convenient to the Strip. People if you can, stay away from this apartment. Management will treat you like crap.

“Move on”

Cons:The apartment is outdated (stove, cabinets, counter tops, blinds etc..) with no washers or dryers in unit. Laundry areas are not kept clean enough and machines are always breaking down, if you are even able to get one available. Noise (music) from The Palms night clubs are heard all through the night. They recently renovated the club house, but not the apartments. Management has turned over 4 times in the last 8 years.

Pros: Low rent, near the strip, maintenance issues are taken care of quickly.
