We sent a former property manager to investigate

The Alara apartments are an older gated community consisting of light brick and red siding buildings. The community is quiet and has a traditional layout. The units are undergoing renovation to include wood flooring and new appliances. Pros include: The units are being upgraded to include faux wood floors and new appliances. Additional storage rooms are provided for most floor plans. On the down side, the amenities offered are limited. Closet space fluctuates between the floor plans. There are some cosmetic indicators this older property has higher maintenance needs such as peeling paint on fences and railings. The Greenspoint area is not the nicest. Watch out: The pool is open seasonally.

“Management is like family ”

I'm Gloria Wooten and live at the Wayforest, Alara apt and I'm happy to say I'm pleased at the management response to my problem, they have done a great job at making me happier than before! My needs was taken care of! A quiet place to live, and they help you when needed! I reconmend the Alara as a home for us all

“LOVE living in thr Alara Apts.”

I REALLY LIKE living here.The property is really quiet and up KEPT.The management team is dynomite;Jessica is very proffessional AND and works diligently to help us as TENANTS. I plan to renew my lease .

“no accountability”

After 5 months i finally received my deposit back along with a snarky note attached saying that they sent it a month after I moved out but they didn't have an forwarding address. This is just another way for them to avoid accepting responsibility for their actions because 1) I gave them my forwarding address three times. 2) Even if they lost the address, my mail was forwarded so if it went to the old address, I would have still received it. This complex is disgusting. Do not rent from them.

“No.”

moved out in july and still have not received my security deposit back. They claim that they are waiting for the corporate office but will not provide an telephone number or email address for the corporate office, saying that corporate does not have any contact info. Never have heard an corporate office not having contact information. Tried calling today to speak to the office manager and the guy in there hung up on me forcing me to drive to there. Only giving a one because I can't give a zero.

“Stay away”

We moved here September 1 2016.. we went to the office paid the rent.. came to the apartment to look apartment over in the tub was stopped up the water did not drain the toilet did not flush and if it did flush it overflowed and we walked in and it smells like mildew.. it was supposed to be a washer and dryer in here but it wasn't today is September 6th and there is a washer and dryer in my living room floor it has been sitting here for an hour and 25 minutes.. the office told us they could not give us our money back the maintenance man told us not to put toilet tissue in the toilet... I've never heard of not putting tissue in the toilet.. there are ants all over the bar the wall sockets don't work soon as you plug something in it the socket the plug comes right out.. not happy not happy not happy.

“Horrible complex ”

The new management doesn't fix anything. I've had water leak in my a/c with mold with a horrible smell. I had a hole in my ceiling with constant water leaking in my bathroom. Not to mention my washer leaking. And they never came to fix it. Maintenance guy told me maybe next year! !!!!!! Great place to live with Mold!!!!! Really, it doesn't deserve a star! !!!

“Bad and unfair management”

I have lived here for 4 years and the old management was bad on repairs but lenient on tenets who could pay what they could and was caring. This new management well lets just say when they took over in april and the flood came through most of the aparments were flooded. That didn't stop the new management from evicting folks. They never gave no resident a chance.

“Horrible ”

The WORST apartment complex I have ever stayed in. I haven't even been here a year and have had to contact the corporate office several times. The office manager is highly unprofessional. I refuse to speak to her except via email and even now that is a complete letdown because she never responds. You have to pay monthly for pest control but the first 2 months of me living there pest control either didn't show up because of the "weather" or because I had boxes in my apartment. But I still have to pay for it. One of the temporary office workers told me I was better off buying my own pest control items. There were things in the apartment that weren't fixed before I moved in, I notated them on the 48 hour move in sheet and it took 3 weeks to get them fixed. I had a hole in my bathroom wall and that took another three weeks to get it fixed. Thats when I started contacting the corporate office. When I first moved in the office manager said that she would let me know when I had packages at the front office. After contacting corporate in regards to the way she managed things, it suddenly became 'thats not my job, FedEx/UPS should be putting a notice on your door' and had packages refused. There are no pros to living here.

“Horrible place to live”

I like the manager but it took me 2 years just to get an new refrigerator an I been here since 2013 now my air conditioner went out again an now I have to wait for them to come fix it an they say online its an emergency but once my air goes out they say it's not an emergency wait until the following day. U call the office no one answer when u know someone is there. An they fix thing for the new residents but the old ones they can care less about us. We pay our rent on time we need our things fix I emailed corporate so many times and no one did anything when my lease is up were moving I rate these Apts an F-

“resident ”

The apartment is okk but the office workersand the maintenance is horrible. They never come and fix anything. With almost 800 a month they need to be better at what they do things. They want there rent on time but never do what they need to do
