I recently moved into this lovely complex. There are things that I like: the staff is friendly, the complex is quiet, there is nice garage parking. Also, my unit is newly renovated and beautiful. Unfortunately, I have been here for a month without a functioning air conditioner, and this has colored the entire experience negatively. The day I moved in, the A/C unit was not working. It took a few days to replace it. Then when they installed the new unit, it did not work. I am now one month into my lease, and I still do not have a functioning air conditioner. Given that the weather has been in the 80s still, I am hot and sweaty during the day when I am at home. Additionally, the dishwasher has a broken part. And the oven was unusable (until repaired this week) because when you opened it, it hit a cabinet. The microwave blew out the first day I moved in (but thankfully was fixed the next day). All of these issues could have easily been detected BEFORE move-in had management bothered to check everything. They did not. The air conditioning issue has been my biggest complaint--and the fact that it is a month later and still not resolved. . . . It leaves this single hardworking professional feeling like her concerns do not matter much. So, if you opt to take one of the beautiful newly renovated units, check every single appliance to ensure they are all functional BEFORE you move in.

greatest run
I loved living in this area. After work I'd run to the beach boarwalk and continue all the way to Venice, where you can buy a nice refreshment and run/walk back in the sunset

Amazing area
Great location, walking distance to Wilshire which includes numerous restaurants, Whole Foods and bars. Quick walk to the bus system which can take you all over LA and less than 2 miles from the beach. Would highly recommend!

Interning in LA for the summer? Need to live somewhere safe, affordable and around great people. Then Westwood is a must.

If you're an east coast transplant and you hate being stuck in traffic then Brentwood is the place for you. Lots of shops and restaurants to walk to. Sleepy and quiet on the weekends- it's the perfect small town in the city.

La Provence Patisserie
Best place for Breakfast pastries in the area. Call ahead to order their specialty cream cheese croissants!

Sor Tino Restaurant
Sortino is a fantastic Italian restaurant just a quick walk up from Mayfield. The Gnocchi is best in LA

Building Internet
The only minus is that this place needs to get Verizon FIOS!!!

Great LA Apartment living, excellent staff and a premium location between Barrington and San Vicente. Shops and Restaurants of downtown Brentwood are just a five minute stroll up Barrington.

Wilshire Corridor
Wilshire Corridor is great in terms of being centrally located in the city (near the 405, the 10, Century City, and Beverly Hills). Cons are that there isn't a ton of stuff in walking distance and the residents tend to be older. Most of the buildings are top-notch, full-service, which is hard to find elsewhere in LA.
