We sent a former property manager to investigate

This apartment community is a run of the mill option. Although it is pretty enough with neat landscaping and well manicured walkways, there is not much that makes the property stand out. The pool is a nice size with a deck with a few tables and chairs scattered about. The apartments are bland and not very spacious. This property does a nice job offering the basics but doesn’t excel beyond that. Pros include: The best parts of the community is that it is fairly quiet and suitable for apartment living. The property is secure and is a gated community. On the down side, there is nothing around the immediate area and getting to food and entertainment options takes some effort. All apartments have carpet and hardwood flooring is not an option. Tips: There are security cameras throughout the property as well as gated and coded access.

About The Location
We sent a former property manager to investigate

These apartment are situated on a main street that has quite a few cars passing by often. There is a factory building directly across the street and there is nothing interesting to see in the immediate vicinity. The property is gated so there is no direct access from the street. There is also no immediate shopping or restaurants within walking distance so having a car is a must. You will have to cut across four lanes of traffic in order to get westbound which could potentially pose a problem during morning and evening rush hour. 610 freeway isn't very nearby and may require 5-10 minutes of travel.

“Make a temporary stay”

Just keep in mind the rent is 900$, which it probably only because the location is about 10 minutes from the Medical Center.

I've never seen a pest control truck that we pay month for which is probably why we had ants our first night. The cars will have ants if parked too long, and why I've seen a roach outside.

Speaking of parking, one reason I'm convinced the review two down is fake, Sunday-Thursday there's no parking after about 9p and none after 11p on the weekends. I've seen cars parking overnight in the driveway of the complex due to lack of parking.

The walls aren't very thick. I hear the people above me talking clearly all the time. The appliances are very loud. It sounds like someone is vacuuming 24/7 because of my refrigerator.

As you have probably already read, or about to read, there is constantly new staff and they are very rude. They speak to you as though you are below them. I'm pretty sure the district manager gets plenty of complaints. Why she hasn't fired the manager yet is unsure.

I would say if you do choose to live here make it temporary. Only enough time to save up for someplace nicer.

“Terribly disrespectful staff member ”

I walked in the leasing office with my friend who was looking for an apartment. The leasing manager was giving a potential renter a hard time for not applying with them 2 weeks ago until the woman left without a positive experience. When we sat at her desk she was very disrespectful, said hi to me a few minutes into the conversation and immediately asked if I talked because I was quiet. She said she would continue the conversation when my friend put his phone down. We decided to leave and stop being disrespected. They lost our business.

Hermann Park
Great part of town - fairly new, moderately priced apartments which are close to 288 (easy to get into town) and next to Hermann Park (great for a walk/run). I lived here for a year and highly recommend the area.
Hoping for something a little better? Not to worry, there are plenty more apartments for rent in Houston.
Rather see apartments in another town? We can handle that. We can be your apartment finder for cities from A-Z.
