Warning About Property
For the love of all things holy, do not rent 90 Magoun Avenue in Medford. I don't know how else to get this message out, but if you know anyone north of Boston/Cambridge looking for an apartment, PLEASE do not let them rent 90 Magoun Avenue. Here is a brief summary of our time in this horrid place: The landlord lives in the building, and he is not just a jerk, but a harasser, a bully, and a liar. He spent a year terrorizing us, particularly my quiet and sadly unassertive boyfriend. "I love dogs," he chirps, but no, he hates dogs, and he hates our dog. "Have friends over! Have parties in the yard!" Don't. Just don't. Don't walk on the grass, don't laugh to loudly, don't walk down the stairs to meet the deliveryman at the door lest you be besodden with texts about how doing any of those things is the most annoying thing anyone has ever done to him. He's before woken me up from sleep at 11 pm to tell me to stop making noise. He is the master of the microaggression. He smokes, both weed and cigarettes, and I sure hope you like those smells because they are in your apartment whether you like it or not. Also he and his girlfriend routinely scream at each other, to the point that the cops have been called. Multiple times. To make things better, the neighbors like to set off fireworks. Every night. That or they have firefights, I honestly don't know. Also there's an insane old man across the street who takes great joy in watching me carefully every morning as I leave for work, and once came over to let me know he'd been watching and knew I had a hard time unlocking the front door. DO NOT LIVE HERE.

Good Old Wilson Square
I loved this area. It was close enough to walk to both Porter and Davis, but was out of the way. I frequented Tacos Lupita quite often, along with that Starbucks. I would gladly move back to the Ville.

Peach Farm (Chinatown)
Best late-night food in boston is found at the Peach Farm. Get there at 1:45am (or earlier) to get in, or else you'll be in line forever. Don't necessarily recommend living in chinatown, but it's fun to visit if you're out in beacon hill or back bay somewhere.

Boylston/Hereford Highrise
Great access to the Green Line and the Prudential Center, and a short walk to the South End. A bit touristy though, so you might have to walk an extra couple blogs to find the better restaurants or avoid holiday crowds.

Wonderful neighborhood!
I lived on Clarendon just south of Columbus and it was my favorite neighborhood in Boston. It's quiet with very little traffic and adorable brownstones, while at the same time still close to a lot of fun spots, including the Tremont restaurant and bar scene and the Boston Common.

Love this place!
Adorable house with front and back porch, backyard, sweet kitchen and pantry. Street is very cute, generally a great neighborhood. I'd recommend checking out for breakfast Soundbyte Cafe on Broadway as well as Johnny's. YUM.

Enjoyed proximity to so many different areas of Boston / Cambridge
We really enjoyed being able to walk everywhere on weekends, from the South End to the North End, Harvard Square, Back Bay and everywhere in between. The lack of local grocery stores made a car pretty important, however, we really loved the mix of people in our neighborhood and the ability to walk everywhere!

Back Bay Apartments
Close to shopping (Shaws or Prudential), some offices nearby, and walking distance/short drive to South End restaurants

Green Street
This is a great location within 10 minutes walk to both Harvard and Central Squares. It is a quiet area and has ample street parking. There are bakeries, coffee shops, restaurants and banks all in close walking distance. The neighborhood is a good mix of families and students. Running/walking paths are available along the Charles River.

Charming neighborhood
Very quaint and charming neighborhood, easy walking distance to downtown and Back Bay, and easy to hop on the T to Cambridge. Apartments tend to be older, and not a ton of nightlife, but some great restaurants
