We sent a former property manager to investigate

The Camden Tiara is a luxury apartment community in East Las Vegas. It offers spacious apartments with plenty of nice touches including a fireplace in every unit. It is surrounded by a park like setting complete with two pools and outdoor grills. Free WIFI available in pool and leasing office area. A very clean and well maintained property. Pros include: Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Private walkway to front door in all apartments in complex. Community events held every month. Very courteous and professional staff. On the down side, slight commercial feel due to local merchants and busy street nearby. Watch out: Some congestion on main street facing complex entrance can make coming and going a little more difficult.

“Mirasucks don’t move here”

The residence inside itself is nice. Other then that the management at times made it very difficult to get things accomplished. Upon moving in my light above my steps was out when made it very dark in my stairway at night and very dangerous. I had to put in several work orders and it took over 6 months, half my lease, to get this fixed. I was not allowed to have gas hooked up until I moved in, which caused me to have to wait over a week for hot water, due to the next available appointment. When I asked to be pro rated since I could not cook or shower for a week I was told there was nothing that could be done and I could shower in thegym if I would like. I called and request my air filter changed every month and I was only changed one time the entire year I was there. Every time I had to place a work order while living there I had to call and place it multiple times before someone would come address the issue. If you could even contact the office most times it would take several phone calls or even having to walk into the office to get a response. Work orders such as the sprinklers at night would cover my walkway so there wasn’t a way to walk to my apartment without getting wet, that was still and issue as of the day I moved out. The bushes were rarely ever trimmed in front of my steps and filled with tons of bugs, it would take weeks to get them to come trim them, and the bugs were never sprayed for. There were never bags for people to clean up after there pets which would cause people to just leave it in the common areas where kids played. My mailbox lock was broken and I had requested it to be fixed 3 times and they told me it was each time but when I would check my mail it was still having the same issue, my mail was going missing because my box would not lock properly. I had to contact the post office to have them send me pictures of my mail before delivery each morning so I knew what mail I was missing. While back home with family for Christmas I was given no alternative way to pay my rent while out of town. I called and notified them I was out of town They said I could pay upon returning no problem. When I finally returned and went to pay I was charged a 400!!!! Dollar late fee when I had called and told them the exact date I would return and even offered to pay over the phone which they said they could not do. The late payment does not show on my rental history which makes me question where the extra 400$ went. My rent was never ever the same amount sometimes there would be over 200$ difference month to month. Lastly I was approved to stay here for a whole other year, but 20 days before my lease was up I was given a notice that says I cannot renew. Being given 20 days to find a new place is hard enough on top of that when my new complex called about my rental history I was denied because Mirasol told them I didn’t give them 2 months notice when they told me I had to be out by the 30th and I never to this day was given a reason as to why. This incident almost left me homeless because of a mistake on there end. It’s a perfect example of they will tell you what you want to hear prior to moving but once you live their they do not care about the actual people living in the complex. Do not rent from here it is not worth the hassle or the headache, unfortunately my experience was very bad there are still several things that aren’t even listen and that’s only in one years time.
