The Metropolitan offers lofts with high ceilings, clean and beautiful apartments that look like small homes inside. The outside grounds are full of trees and they are very pet friendly. Pros include: Short walk to downtown and caltrain. Community room has wifi and workspace as well as conference center. Beautiful master bedrooms with bathroom inside. Covered parking. On the down side, no play area for kids. Tips: 1st floor units have large patios if you are on the exterior. Watch out: Soon to be upgraded, the fitness center will be closed for a few months (in Fall/Winter 2013).
Stay away from this hellish apartment complex. We lived there last year but we left due to the impossible conditions during the construction. Its not an average construction but a complete rebuilding of the indoor hallways, jack hammers on the balconies, an opaque sealing across all the windows and broken glass/dust everywhere. We have consulted lawyer friends and they tell us that the conditions in this building and the misrepresentation by management is grounds for lawsuits - civil and criminal misrepresentation by the management and individuals at the building. We know at least two families in the building who are in a lot of frustration because of the construction issues.
Contact me if you are considering a class action - we have various photographs and videos of the conditions we were made to live through. We have better things to do but part of me is very angry at the individuals who are still sitting in the management office telling lies to the new tenants.
