Downtown San Jose
Used to live near downtown San Jose. Light rail was really convenient for me because I worked on first street which is where the light rail runs. Downtown San Jose has a bunch of bars, restaurants, cinemas etc and very lively at night.

Convenient and safe neighborhood
Quiet neighborhood conveniently located near high tech businesses (short commute). THe drawback is access to shopping, etc.
