Granite City
1150 Sibley Street, Folsom, 95630, CA
This complex is newly built (opening in late 2013) and is designated as affordable housing. The team did a nice job with the property. The three-story buildings have units that are brand new with inviting, open spaces, beautiful flooring, new appliances, and wonderful natural light. The traffic noise from the front of the complex though is pretty noticeable. Pros include: Brand new everything. Nearby shopping and night life. Excellent amenities including: small, unique playground for kids, pool (which has disabled person access), and business center. On the down side, very noisy traffic at the front of the property. No elevators for three-story building. Parking can be tight for guests. Tips: There is a laundry room available, but most units and floor plans have stackable washers/ dryers. Note that since this is designated as affordable housing there are income restrictions to be qualified to live here.

I live at Granite City and the newest staff (Manager and Maintenance), they have been nothing but professional and positive and of coarse helpful. I am responding to the "Terrible Manager" comment left by someone that hasn't had the opportunity to meet the manager or staff. I don't know why this person says that the management doesn't help those in need, because I know 1st hand that they do. I needed assistance and I was given a list of possible places that may be able to help me. Management goes out of their way to assist tenants, no matter what it is they need. And to say that St. Anton discriminates? That's a big accusation, who do they discriminate against? This person need to back up their negative comments. I LOVE Granite City and the staff.

My two bedroom apartment is spacious, has good natural light, plenty of storage in the kitchen (although the shelves are high and difficult to reach top shelves). The manager
is very nice and helpful. Maintenance, a friendly person, was quick to respond to my minor problem. It is quiet in my back unit near the bicycle/jogging path. Only negative is no elevator. I highly recommend this attractive, well designed apartment complex.

Granite City Apartments in Folsom are no doubt beautiful, yet the new manager lacks the necessary skills to work with low-income families, especially those with disabilities. (I mention this due to the previous positive comment about the new manager and San Anton). I also mention this because of talking with renters who have been evicted.
Good rental management should start at the top, which is a big flag for the corporate management at San Anton who allows their team to discriminate.
I am writing this to reflect a different opinion. To me, a clean environment and community based on fairness is more important than any superficial aesthetics.

I have been to and lived in many apt. complexes and this one is by far the best. The NEW staff is quick to respond to any issues and keeps the grounds looking beautiful all the time. NEW management is always available to talk to residents and makes you feel comfortable.maintenance is knowledgeable with a almost no waiting on repairs. The old staff was not as good or as professional. Great job St. Anton on the replacement of staff.
