“Glad to be out”

Well We moved out of this place today

1st of all the management of this place are bunch of lazy employees who don't want to do any work or even answer the phone, rude and unprofessional.

2nd thing is parking .... Parking in foxchase is a stupid joke ... They charge you 10 dollars a month for parking and 40$ if you want your own reserved spot. Parking after 7 pm is impossible unless you have your own reserved spot. The problem is that I had neighbors who had their own reserved parking and even after they moved out the sign of reserved spot was still there and nobody could even park their for the fear of being towed and for few months till now the spots are there and never were used ( somebody is not checking on the reserved spots and that means somebody is not doing his job.

3rd the place is infested with rats and roaches .... If you love rats and mice then Foxchase is the perfect place for you.

I made sure we cleaned our apartment well before we leave ... Yet the day of final inspection they said the place in not clean and when I challenged them for that they said I have to provide a bill from a professional cleaner to know I didn't do it myself (obviously they will charge you 90$ no matter what)

Employees the day of the moving were rude and spoke only their native language. I contacted the general manager she kept making excuses to get the 90$ fees of cleaning claiming that she had pictures of the apartments 48 hours after I left!!!

Happy to be out of this unclean unprofessional place!

Shirlington - thumbs up!
I had a great experience at the Shirlington House during the last two years. Reasonable prices for spacious, newly renovated apartments, and only a 5 minute walk from the Village at Shirlington. The building itself is fairly old, a plus in my mind since they have thick, nearly soundproof walls that are uncommon in many new buildings - I never heard a peep from any of my neighbors. The only aspect I didn't like about the Shirlington area was the lack of a metro stop. There are buses available that are reliable during the week but hit-or miss on the weekends.
The perfect apartment didn't show up this time, did it? No worries, since our Alexandria apartment finder will be sure to find you something in the area.
What other U.S. cities does RentLingo list apartments, you ask? All of them. Try our apartment guide to find the best deals.
