What a let down. Looked all shiny & new but my apartment is not even liveable due to noise.

After specifically asking for a quite apartment & paying more to be 1 floor away from the shop below to avoid noise & have a larger balcony my apartment is opposite a megaphone which plays jurrasic park & disco from 8am to 10pm 7 days a week. I cant even open a wondow or use the balcony & i cant go to bed until after 10pm, it wakes me up 8am every morning and is ruining my life as i now have a curfew to get to bed by as ive no chance of sleeping in ever or having a nap.

I asked to move apartments the very day after taking the apartment (having not even furnished it etc) & was told no.

Upon looking my legal rights & mentioning that the apartment was mis-represented to me the management admitted that 'they would now disclose the noise to future tenants' which isnt any help to me so im left renting an apartment i cant live in.

In addition to this upon move in there was no cooker or laundry facilities, after chasing up every day since move in it took 7 days to get a working cooker & nearly 2 weeks for laundry.

(Ive only been here for about 2 weeks and for 100% of my time here have not had use of a fully functioning apartment but have paid for one)

I was also told the place came with a parking space turns out this is a compact space which my car wont fit in again i asked for a different space upon move in & was told no.

I bumped into the building owners 1 evening who shook my hand

The worst place i have ever lived.

My apartment was not ready when i moved in and was not liveable. Multiple electrical sockets do not work, the stove did not work, the washer dryer did not work. About 30 percent of the sockets still don't work, the cooker took 7 days to repair and the washer dryer was only repaired after 13 days. It took 5 days and lots of hassling from me to finally get them to let me use the vacant units cooker. I shouldn't have to chase this up.

In carrying out the repair to the cooker, the floor and front door have been damaged and left un-repaired. This is not great on a brand new apartment.

The music from the target shopping complex is played between 8am and 10pm and can be heaed through our windows! No chance ever for a lie in or early night as well as annoying me all day. I asked for a quiet apartment even said it was the most important thing to me and sales staff didnt even mention the music. They have since said they wern't aware of it but oh well now as im tied to a 1 year lease with a $6000 cancellation clause.

The complex is new and hasn't been tested properly there have been so many bugs and alterations still taking place. For example key fobs don't always work so i've been randomly locked out my apartment or locked in the parking garage, not been able to get in the swimming pool area, wifi not working in communal areas, communal areas been inaccessible/unusable due to building works noise or alterations. It has been a nightmare.
