Copperwood is very close to Sunrise Boulevard, thus offers a good location for being within walking distances to shopping centers. The rooms are on the smaller side and the complex feels cramped. Combined with a lack of amenities (only a pool), Copperwood is below average. Pros include: With only 60+ units, the community is on the smaller side. Fireplaces in every unit. Across the street from a shopping center. On the down side, grounds and walkways are cluttered and restrictive. Pricey for the size of the rooms and the lack of amenities. The appliances look worn and have scratches on them. No private/enclosed patios or balconies. Tips: Copperwood offers new residents the option of either an accent wall or a free gym membership (only one per household) with Planet Fitness across the street. Also, 2nd floor units have vaulted ceilings.
Not worth the price, the amenities are very basic, will charge you for everything that should be covered in your rent, not a good place to live at all, deserves zero stars, only one spot for parking,
This apartment seems good upon move-in, the apartments are cleaned however appliances are from the 80's and work in odd ways. With only 1 gate (clicker operated but it's always stuck open) the design is tough to get used to. Garages are available for a hefty 50$ a month and only 1 parking spot per apartment. Broken down cars sit in spots for months and visitor parking is only 12 hours before getting towed so friends risk getting their car stolen in the street like I had mine stolen. The manager has a few select friends and the little girls running around screaming all hours with yappy dogs is enough to make anyone crazy. DO NOT move here if you can't stand yapping dogs, screaming girls, clique-y management and angry single moms who believe they deserve better treatment and can block the entire lane with big trucks. Also be careful throwing trash away since one of the mom's doesn't like it when you throw things away too loudly.
