RentLingo Editor's Review
We sent a former property manager to investigate

The apartments are at the top of a high rise hotel and across from Chase Field and the Phoenix Suns arena, so this is the busiest section of town. The apartments, though, are really quiet. The units have tons of light, high ceilings, exposed concrete, hardwood floors, and high end stainless steel appliances. They also have staff available 24 hours a day to get you whatever you need, including a doorman, valet, and housekeeping. Pros include: If you enjoy the city nightlife, or are a sports fan, then this is the perfect location to be. It's both the best and the worst thing about these apartments. The view from these apartments is also fantastic, and a rarity in Phoenix. On the down side, the parking situation is terrible because of the building’s location. Even if you pay for the garage, the parking is open, so there is no guarantee for a spot, and you can't buy a second one. You can, however, valet it. Your visitors will also have to pay for the garage. Another issue is that, like any city, while the building is very secure, the streets can be dicey at night.

About The Location
We sent a former property manager to investigate

This is as urban of a location as it gets for Phoenix. It's always extremely busy in this area, so driving and parking are a nightmare, but the building is right next to the light rail. It's also next door to the Cityscape shops, movie theaters, and restaurants, as well as the stadiums.

“DO NOT MOVE HERE!”

They constantly have construction going on and most importantly they do not honor their word. I was misinformed by one of their employees that they I would have to pay the amount of one the month's rent in addition to my regular rent. She informed me of this after she reviewed my leasing agreement. Based on this information I set up another place and provided my term notice. Turns out after review, I guess I am supposed to pay my rent and an additional 2 times the rent. I am moving out anyways and I will not ever be staying in an Alliance property ever again.

DO NOT TRUST THESE SCUMBAGS!

“Real review”

I moved into this property back in April. The building is sound and improvements are being made, but the issues are with the managing staff. At best they are dismissive and rude when asked to take care of issues. I reported to the office staff that a container of paint was left out in the hall way on the twenty first floor, a fire hazard for sure. It took the staff 5 days after I reported it to finally remove it. Rep was rude to me as I made my report, I had to go as far as to take a picture and show it to security in order for the staff to take the time to remove it.

Now on to the brown water that is flowing from the bathroom sink. I've call the office staff and asked to talk to a member of management three times over the week and as of yet have not received a call back.

In short the office staff is terrible. The management has only reached out to me in the past on other non-apartment related matters. They questioned me on my Yelp reviews on two other business that they felt the need to address. Why is that? Most of my reviews are positive... I'll be happy to post the Email that Rep sent me and then my reply. They should be more concerned with the needs of the residence rather than to bully the clients on matters that don't concern them.

I would encourage any prospective renters to consider the value of the service rather than the aesthetics of the building or the location when thinking about making the move to Cityscape. I would not recommend the property
