We sent a former property manager to investigate

The Camino Al Norte was constructed in three phases and for the most part, the second two are better options since they include upgraded appliances (stainless steel) and nicer sinks. For the most part, the amenities are great and the gym, in particular, is awesome. Pros include: The twenty four hour gym is fully-equipped and the community/billiards room feels stylish. The two car garages provide tons of extra storage space. The rooms have tons of space and large patio/balconies. The appliances in all rooms are, at the minimum, very nice and in some cases are excellent. On the down side, the pool is not nearly as nice as the rest of the amenities. The busy road that borders the front of the property isn't the most attractive surrounding. The complex grounds feels as if they are mostly pavement. Tips: The second two phases of the property include stainless steel appliances and elaborate sinks. Also, some loft units come with fireplaces. Watch out: The grounds, although well-kept, have a dry/desert look to them.

“Horrible ”

Horrible management very unprofessional, always supposedly "out touring property". Parking is horrible very limited can't even park outside your garage because the tow truck will take your car. And if you paid a deposit to move in don't expect it back they find every excuse to not give it back.. I was charged 350 for paint!!! I was living there for 3 years! I should not have been charged for something that they have to have to do anyways!!! Rent is way over priced better off renting a house! Maintenance man Ricardo is very nosy & doesn't know how to do anything a resident had to come shut off water in one of the Units because he didn't know how to & if you ask for air filter they want to come in your house instead of just giving it to you.. Don't pay attention to the previous reviews because that's when Sonia was the property manager... Leslie is very unprofessional she gets into it with residents all the time! & doesn't know how to do math tried to over charge residents on rent & water bill.

“Bad property management”

I lived here for 3yrs nice place inside loved it but there's nowhere to park and if you park in front of your garage just to run inside the house when you come out your car want be there it will be towed another thing when it's time to renew your lease and you would like to stay and you where paying 1200$ expect to pay 1300$-1400$ when signing your new lease they go up on rent here alot the maintenance man Ricardo is very noisy you can't wash your car if you come outside in have a flat tire you better not get your dummy tire out and change it on there property cause if maintenance sees you they will tell Leslie she's the property manager she's very nice when your trying to reserve a unit but once you sign your name on there lease she's going to be your worst nightmare she very disrespectful she gets and arguments with alot of the residents if you don't watch your water and trash bills she will try to over charge you her son comes to the property every once and a while to pick up whatever he needs to get from her if she's busy and he has to wait he's going to fire up a blunt in front of the office another thing if your required to give a security deposit they say you get it back bullshit when you move out there going to find something to take your deposit are most of your deposit every one that I know live here had issue with getting there security deposit they charged me 350$ out of 563$ deposit for paint really 3 years unit supposed to get painted anyway without a charge

“Horrible ”

I walked into the property on Sunday October 31st and was not greeted . I wasn't acknowledged until maybe 10 minutes later which she did offer water or coffee. Once she was done with her tenant she act like she could not decide who she wanted to help and my guest and I had been waiting at least 15 minutes and I stood up and told her I was next. I felt rushed when she did help me she was not prepared nor did she give me correct pricing. I told her to help her other clients that was already on the office then she can show me the unit. I waited another 20 minutes while she socialized with other tenants and gossiped. I was shown the unit and that part was a pleasant experience because she explained everything in detail about the layout and community. I got info from here an went home to look over paperwork and I called about 4pm because I had a few question i called several times and no answer then finally Destinee answered the phone I asked if she as busy she said not really but she has a tenant in front of here so i told her to call me when she's done so I could ask her a few things before filling out the app. Here it is Monday 10pm and i still had not received a call back but I went ahead and filled the app out on Sunday afternoon and no-one from that office has called me back. This tells me this is not a place where I want to live and give my business just because they are so unprofessional. Also they say full out app to lock in price for 48 but mine changed the next day

“Misleading”

This is a nice place asceticly and the majority of the staff is very nice but management, communication between staff and resident, and quality of the structure is very poor. The office rarely answers the phone in the first couple of rings, they hang a sign on the office door that says "out touring property" but they won't return for hours (this is during business hours). If you file a complaint they act concerned and make you feel as if they truly will take care of it but nothing ever comes of it.

Parking is a nightmare. The garages are small so larger vehicles have to park outside where there is not enough parking spaces for the townhomes.

The structure is poor quality. We moved in to a brand new unit and within the month, crack formed atany of the drywall seems and management refused to fix them.

Beware of the uncommon 60 day notice for moving out. The common notice is 30 days but not here.

The staff is very nice, especially the maintenance crew. The maintenance crew learn you by name and are always willing to help you.

If you do decide to move here do not allow the staff to use their friendliness to trick you, if they promise you something, get it in writing, they will not follow through.

I do not recommend for people who are looking for long term.

If you're moving here expecting to move again soon, this place will do, but don't expect to fall in love with it.
