“A Complete NIGHTMARE!”

1. We were told when we moved in there were no noise problems with the apartment, and that if any arose that management assured us that they would take care of it.

2. Instantly upon moving in the stomping above us was jarring. In fact we hardly slept for the first two weeks. We told the office who told us, that they could only move us, but that would be a 1,000 fee to move.

3. Once we complained to the CEO, we were told they could wave the 1,000 fee. So everything we just moved we'd have to move again, and change our address which we just changed. So they offered us to move to another apartment and not the people creating the problem. It is not our fault so we should not have to move.

4. The apartment they offered is over a pool and people can look into the bedroom and living room. The one we are in has privacy. And we don't want to move and shouldn't be forced to because of someone else's actions.

5. We then find out that the previous tenants also had issues with the noise from upstairs and even bought pads to go under the tenants' furniture because it was such a problem. So now, the tenants who lived in our apartment before us, have gone on record twice and confirmed that they had issues as well.

6. A person from the office come into our apartment and confirmed 15 straight minutes of "unbearable" and "unlivable" noise, stating it sounded like "Bigfoot" walking.

7. Lastly when we said we were considering moving they listed our apartment, without us giving written notice.

“Mr. Terry Considine has built a great company in AIMCO”

No one is nicer than Kathy Dezfoli in the front Office. Mr. Terry Considine has built a great company in AIMCO, and they make sure that, as a tenant, you are happy living in these luxury communities, and make sure that your residence... is your home.

“Lied to about Noisey Apartment, then extorted by Manager requesting 1,000 to move after one week!”

I had asked that we be moved from the 3rd floor to the 4th floor, so that we would not have any further noise issues For a week straight our upstairs neighbors were constantly noisy with heavy footsteps and moving of furniture. It went until between 12 and 1 am every night. One night it went on for an hour until 4:30 am. We called the security and made several complaints to the front office. I was told by Mr. Schultz, a district manager that he would let us move to the 4th floor,, but only if they could raise our rent by 155- 175 dollars a month... even though the apartment would be the same square footage and still a one bedroom. It seems my husband and I will have to take it on the chin financially, and pay to hook up the utilities again, pack up whatever has been unpacked, and move for a 2nd time in the same month after being misled by the front office as to the prior problems with this apartment, and now, as I stated before, we will have to pay another 155-175 dollars a month as well.

The office that misled us about noise levels should make it right and keep our agreed upon rent, (the rent we moved here agreeing to), and move us to an apartment without prior noise problem issues. We trusted Broadcast Center and it seems no one involved gets it. This is not how a tenant paying a lot of money should be feeling. Broadcast's idea of compromise is for us to lose whatever... and they to lose nothing, even though we have never misled anyone.

“Great Premium Living”

Stunning property and design which has been impressive for my guests. It’s a nice reminder that living in a premium apartment has its advantages. The hot tub and fitness center are wonderful, I use each of them several times a week. One of Broadcast’s perks is being right next to the farmer’s market. Yum

“Bait and Switch”

Very disappointed in the leasing process at Broadcast Center apartments. Saw a posting for a 1 bedroom apartment available August 18 advertised on Apartment Search. We had already been in contact with Barry at Broadcast Center regarding other apartments available. We requested they send us quotes for this apartment and another apartment available August 15th.They did. We decided to move forward with the August 18th apartment since this was less expensive. We filled out the entire leasing application and paid $1,000 holding deposit and $87 application fee. After we were finished and I was mentally moving in...we received an email saying the apartment was all set... For a Jan 1 move in date. Say what?!

We contacted them... Surely just a mistake in the system. No, when we finally got a response from Barry we were told he talked to "corporate" and that someone else leased the apartment at the exact same time we filled out our application. Really? Someone leased an apartment from August 18- jan 1? That's 4.5 months. The minimum lease they offer is 6 months. Now, we were told, the only apartment available August was $600 more than previous. Thanks but no thanks. Regardless of whether or not we can afford this, I will NEVER give Broadcast Center or any other companies that use bait and switch tactics a dime. Took TWO MONTHS to get our money back on our credit card!

Duke, Goldman Sachs
Santa Monica in WeHo is the home to a lot of nightlife in LA (restaurants, nightclubs), and it's also the most popular place to live for LA's gay community.
