City Guide for Apartments in Fremont
Mix a location in the middle of everything and inexpensive rents and cheap apartments and then garnish with BART, and you have a prime neighborhood, especially for those that can’t afford to live in the Bay’s more expensive areas. It’s no wonder that Fremont is often the destination of commuters fed up with the high prices of San Francisco, San Jose, San Mateo and Berkeley so close by.
While it may have been considered a bedroom city in the past due to its great location between the major cities surrounding it, Fremont has its own unique spin on fun and entertainment and it avoids having that major city vibe that is basically everywhere else in the bay. Also, Fremont is wonderfully diverse. There are a ton of great ethnic restaurants such as Shalimar and Chutney and there’s a movie theater that regularly shows Bollywood films and the annual Festival of India.
Glenmoor Gardens is often considered Fremont’s favorite neighborhood. The schools are considered to be the best in area and there’s a plethora of family activities during the holidays. As you might expect, this is one of the more expensive areas of Fremont, however you can find houses for rent in Upper and Glenmoore and Lower Glenmoore and a mix of apartments for rent from high-quality luxury apartments to smaller studio apartments.
Niles is another option that has received high ratings and reviews. It has its own small downtown on Niles Boulevard, yet feels more isolated than other parts of Fremont. With the Quarry Lakes Regional Recreation Area, Niles Community Park and Alameda Creek nearby there are many easily-accessible outdoor activity opportunities available that make Niles both family-friendly and pet-friendly.
If you are on the apartment search for more inexpensive rentals and houses for rent, you will probably want to look in areas such as 28 Palms and Blacow. If you use an apartment guide, you’ll be more likely to find apartments for rent with all utilities included, too.
Lake Elizabeth in Fremont’s Central Park may be its most prized community amenity. The man-made, 83 acre lake is the perfect place to go swimming and boating on hot summer days. There’s walking and bicycling paths, playgrounds, and community events throughout the year. It’s basically the perfect place to take the family for a day of BBQ and fun in the sun.

Beautiful barron Park
I love the fruit trees/friendly environment. Very close to Stanford, with a bike path that makes it faster than driving!

Pretty, quiet neighborhood
Very convenient to Stanford campus, the 101, and shopping in Town & Country, California Ave, and Middlefield. Very pretty, tree-lined, quiet suburban streets. It's nice for young families.

Great neighborhood
~20-30 minutes bike ride to Stanford. At night you need to bike through California Ave. bike tunnel and the park, doesn't feel too safe.
Two awesome parks near by, Safeway and Philz coffee in walking distance. Also 5 minuets from exit to 101

Convenient and safe neighborhood
Quiet neighborhood conveniently located near high tech businesses (short commute). THe drawback is access to shopping, etc.

El Grullense Tacqueria - The pink building
Open until midnight, this is one of few late night food options in the immediate area around Stanford campus. Its a good tacqueria with typical options. Its clean and th service is good. If you want more authentic, quick Mexican food, this is a great alternative to the Chipotle down the street on El Camino

I live here now. Like it because it's close to Stanford and to the 101 and there are lots of nice spacious houses. Fun to have a backyard! But it's definitely the suburbs...
