CityScape at Lakeshore Apartments
4630 S Lakeshore Drive, Tempe, 85282, AZ
This community is impressive and sure to please. While it lacks some of the extra amenities you may find at other apartments, it has beautiful grounds, is close to major freeways and shopping, and the apartments are well laid out and upgraded. Pros include: The apartments feature full size washer/dryers, nice, updated kitchens and baths, and large bedrooms with ample closet space. There's an enclosed patio/balcony with storage, there are bay windows in some of the dining areas, and the surrounding grounds and amenities are very nice. This is a gated community and many of the apartments come with full size garages. The location to freeways and shopping is a plus, as well. Each apartment has crown moulding, alarms that chime when a door or window is opened, and there are ceiling fans in the living room and the bedrooms. On the down side, there's a Lingerie Superstore right next door to the complex, but it's not super close. You can only use the clubhouse or rent the DVDs when the office center is open. Watch out: The main entrance is on a busy street and the south side of the apartments face a Firestone Auto Care.

The location is convenient to ASU, right off the 60 freeway, and close enough to walk to shops and stores. The front entrance is on a busy, main road, but is situated far enough back that it is not an issue. There are many businesses around, but also several apartment complexes.

I have lived at City Scape at Lakeshore Apartments for over 2 years and think the location is terrific and the living space in my 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment home is spectacular. I have given good reviews in the past and unfortunately have to post this poor review due to the grounds maintenance. The grounds maintenance is very poor. There are leaves, brush and tree debris around the entire complex and the peripheral public grounds. The appearance is tacky and not groomed. I have brought this matter to the attention of the manager and staff and have repeatedly been told "they will be here next Tuesday". Tuesdays have come and gone and the grounds are disgusting. For a high dollar complex this is a big disappointment (I pay $1,150/mo). I am resorting to social media pressure and would advise residents and prospective residents to drive around the facility and ask management what they are doing to budget for grounds upkeep or to lower the rent accordingly.
