Canyon Creek Village
17617 N. 9th Street, Phoenix, 85022, AZ
The community is dated, but it has a fresh coat of paint and an optimistic attitude under new management. The grounds are well kept, but there are still some maintenance issues with cracked pavement and tiling on the indoor jacuzzi. The interiors of the apartments are in fair condition for this area, with faux wood linoleum flooring and large floor plans. Pros include: The outdoor amenities are the best part of the community. The volleyball, hockey and tennis courts are nicely maintained and a rarity in Phoenix. The laminate flooring throughout the interiors is also a plus, as it looks attractive and is easy to maintain. On the down side, the indoor jacuzzi is trashed, which is such a shame. It's a great amenity to have in the desert, and it looks like it used to be beautiful. The location is also an issue, as it's a bit of a hub to find groceries and restaurants. Tips: They always run specials, so make sure to ask.

The community is in a quiet residential area. It has quite a few large complexes surrounding it, and it's not the safest area in North Phoenix. It is near shopping and dining, but not within walking distance.
